UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for November 7 to 13, 2017

RCMP received a complaint of assault but the complainant declined to lay charges.

Members are investigating a report of forgery.

Police received a complaint of assault. A 24-year-old male from Unity was charged with assault and resisting a peace officer and a 24-year-old female from Unity was also charged with assault.

There was a complaint of uttering threats but it was unfounded.

Members attended a residence on two separate occasions this week to keep the peace while an individual retrieved personal property.

RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications but it was unfounded.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity.

Police are investigating the theft of a large piece of oilfield equipment. The equipment, known as a blow-out preventer, was stolen from a Cona Resources lease near Winter, Saskatchewan, and belongs to Cru Well Services.

Members are investigating a fraud complaint.

CN Police reported a single train car derailment near Unity SK. There was no danger to the public and no environmental concerns.  Police did not attend.  The incident was reported to RCMP as per CN Railway policy.

There were also five traffic complaints.
