UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for February 16 to 22, 2016

RCMP attended a sudden death at a residence near Unity. The death was not suspicious.

There was a report of fraud. Information sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Police received a complaint of damage to a parked vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of theft from a motor vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

There was a report of a break and enter of a business south of Unity, Sask. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a vehicle driving through the railway crossing arms at Unity causing damage. Members patrolled but could not locate the vehicle.

RCMP received a report of horses running loose south of Unity. Members attended and all horses were behind a fence.

There was also one false alarm.

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for February 9 to 15, 2016

RCMP conducted a welfare check on an individual at the request of a concerned friend. The individual was located and was fine.

Police received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.

There was a complaint of criminal harassment. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of a suspicious person walking down the street. Members located the individual who was walking home.

RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter into a secure compound south of Unity, Saskatchewan. Nothing was stolen.  This matter is still under investigation.

There was also one false 911 call.

RCMP received a compliant of fraud. Information was sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Members received a report of a found wallet. The wallet was returned to the owner.

Police received a complaint of fraud but it was unfounded.

There was a complaint of uttering threats. This matter is still under investigation.

Members assisted Unity EMS with a patient.

RCMP received a complaint of sexual assault. This matter is still under investigation.

CN Police called to report a railway crossing malfunction.

Police received a complaint of the theft of a 40-foot seacan container near Denzil, Saskatchewan. This matter is still under investigation.

UNITY SK RCMP  REPORTS for January 19 to 25, 2016

RCMP impounded a vehicle for 30 days during a traffic stop when it was discovered the vehicle driver was driving while disqualified.  A traffic ticket was also issued to the individual.

A member assisted an individual in locating a place to stay for the night.

Police received a complaint of fraud.  No personal information was given.  Information sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

RCMP attended a mental health complaint.  Members transported the individual to Unity Hospital for assessment.  The individual was released to the care of family.

There were also two traffic complaints and one false alarm.
