RCMP Report for July 19 to 25

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for July 19 to 25, 2016

RCMP received a complaint of a male driving a vehicle and making inappropriate gestures at another individual. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of theft from a motor vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.

There was a report of identity fraud. There are no suspects at this time.

Members received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries.

RCMP received a report of an intoxicated male who was lost. Members located the male and released him to the care of family until sober.

There was a complaint of a suspicious vehicle by Adanac, Saskatchewan. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a request to complete a well-being check on an individual. The complainant later called by to cancel the request as the individual had been contacted.

A 19-year-old male was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of failing to comply with a direction in a remand order during a traffic stop. Police received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

There were also two false alarms, two traffic complaints and one false 911 call.

UNITY SK REPORTS for July 12 to 18, 2016

RCMP received a request from a family friend to complete a well-being check on an individual.

Police completed another well-being check on an individual at the request of a family friend.

There was a complaint of youth on the roof of the Unity, SK arena. Member attended but the subjects of complaint were gone on arrival.

Members received a complaint of harassing communications but it was unfounded.

RCMP received a complaint of theft of fuel from a local gas station. Members located the subject of complaint who returned to pay for the fuel. No charges were laid.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction near Scott, Saskatchewan. No police action required.

There was a report of a lost wallet. Reported for information purposes.

Police received a report of a child wandering near Highway 14. A parent was located shortly thereafter. Member spoke with the child and the parent. No further police action required.

Members charged a 27-year-old Unity male with possession of cannabis marijuana after finding the drug in his possession during a walk through a local drinking establishment and discovering the male was on conditions to not enter a drinking establishment.

RCMP charged a youth, an 18-year-old Wilkie male, a 19-year-old Wilkie male, a 20-year-old North Battleford male, and a 23-year-old Meadow Lake male with possessing break-in instruments after receiving a complaint of suspicious activity in a back alley in Unity.

Members received a report of a bicycle accident. One rider was transported by emergency medical services to Unity hospital with minor injuries.

Police received a complaint of fail to comply with conditions of undertaking. This matter is still under investigation.

There were also three false 911 calls and one false alarm.

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for July 5 to 11, 2016

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle in Unity, Saskatchewan. This matter is still under investigation.

Members charged a 32-year-old male from Ponoka, Alta., with assault causing bodily harm after receiving a complaint of a domestic dispute.

Police received a call of medical distress. Members attended and assisted emergency medical services who transported the individual to hospital.

CN Police advised of a blocked railway crossing near Unity. No police action required.

There was also one false alarm, one false 911 call and one traffic complaint.

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for June 28 to July 4

RCMP received a complaint of theft of fuel from a local gas station. Members contacted the vehicle driver who paid for the fuel. No charges were laid.

Police received a complaint of fraud. Information sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Members assisted a family inquiring about mental health issues.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke with the subject of complaint.

There was a complaint of uttering threats. Members charged a 60-year-old Unity male with uttering threats and disturbing the peace.

Police have received a few phone calls reporting the CRA Scam. Information sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Members acted as mediators in a neighbour dispute.

RCMP received a complaint of theft of fuel from a local gas station. Members contacted the vehicle owner who agreed to return to pay for the fuel. No charges were laid.

There was a request to locate a missing person. The complainant later called back to say the individual had been contacted.

Police received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the individual to Saskatoon Royal University Hospital for assessment.

There were also three false 911 calls and two traffic complaints.

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for June 21 to 27, 2016

RCMP received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.

Police received several reports of the Canada Revenue Agency scam. No personal information was given. Information was sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

During a traffic stop a 51-year-old male from the Unity area was charged with driving while prohibited.

There was a complaint of breach of peace. Members attended and transported an intoxicated individual to a residence to remain in the care of a family friend until sober.

RCMP received a complaint of false pretences. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of an individual lying on the service road in Unity, Saskatchewan. Members located the subject of complaint and transported him to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

There was a complaint of horses on the loose on Highway 14. Members located the owner of the animals who led them back to their enclosure.

RCMP received a report of a missing dog. The complainant called back later and informed the police that the dog had been located.

Police received a complaint of harassing communications. Reported for information purposes.

Members received a request to attend a medical emergency but did not attend as the individual recovered and did not require emergency services.

RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

There were also four traffic complaints, one noise complaint, one false 911 call and one false alarm.
