Last paper before summer holiday break!

Tomorrow, July 28, there will be a Unity Wilkie Press-Herald newspaper waiting for you – at the office 310 Main Street, Unity, grocery stores, the C-store, etc. It’s the last issue before a two-week holiday break for staff, so the next weekly community newspaper for Unity and area isn’t scheduled to appear until August 18.

Be sure to check out the paper for:

  • yet another Unity team that brought home a provincial title;
  • a new Canadian citizen talks about her experience;
  • a story on Greg Schwaga who walked through Unity and Wilkie on his trek across the province, raising awareness and funds for Huntington’s disease; and
  • a full page feature on local athletes and volunteers at the Saskatchewan Special Olympics Summer Games.

Below, Blake Robertson of the Unity Cardinals dives for third base as the ball (to the right of no. 2, Graeme Gieni) flies towards the Standard Hill third baseman. The Cardinals won the game, and the next one. of the NSRBL semifinals and will meet the Border City Blue Jays in the league final.
