UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for October 2 to 8, 2018

RCMP received a report of trespassing but it was unfounded.

Police are investigating a complaint of a break-and-enter into a rural residence.

There was a tractor fire west of Unity, Saskatchewan. The fire was extinguished by Unity Fire Department and was not suspicious in nature.

Members attended a two-vehicle collision in Unity. There were no injuries and no charges were laid.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. Reported for insurance purposes.

Police received a complaint of a stolen van from a residence in Unity. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of theft from a rural oil site near Denzil, Sask. There are no suspects at this time.

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle at the Delta Co-op Hardware Store. Members spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle.

CN Police reported a near collision between a VIA Rail train and a gravel truck near Scott SK. The train came to an emergency stop to avoid a collision.  There were no injuries.  No details regarding the gravel truck could be provided to RCMP.

Police received a report of an intoxicated individual walking down the street in Unity. The complainant could not provide any descriptors for the individual.

Members received a report of a vehicle rolling on its side while being towed. Reported for insurance purposes.

RCMP received a complaint of theft of fuel from a local gas station. Members contacted the subject of complaint who returned to pay for the fuel.  No charges were laid.

CN Police reported a train derailment near Senlac SK.Nine cars derailed due to a broken train wheel.  There were no injuries and no dangerous goods were involved in the derailment.

Members received a complaint of theft from a residence in Unity. This matter is still under investigation.

Police are investigating a complaint of assault.

RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in a back alley. Members patrolled but the vehicle was gone on arrival.
