UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for July 10 to 16, 2018

RCMP received a report of a helicopter crash into a field while spraying crops. The helicopter pilot received non-life threatening injuries and was air lifted to Saskatoon by STARS Air Ambulance for medical treatment.

Police received a complaint of harassing communications. This matter is still under investigation.

A 50-year-old female from Red Pheasant First Nation was charged with theft – shoplifting, failing to comply with condition of undertaking and failing to comply with a probation order after members received a complaint of theft from a local grocery store.

RCMP received a report of a hit-and-run causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.

Members acted as mediators in a family disagreement.

Police received a report of an individual using residence power without permission. Members warned the subject of complaint. Complainant declined to lay charges.

RCMP received a complaint of sexual assault. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of youth ringing a residence doorbell and running away. There are no suspects at this time. Reported for information purposes.

CN Police reported two railway crossing malfunctions in a rural area near Unity. Reported for information purposes.

There were also two traffic complaints and two false alarms.
