UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for January 9 to 15, 2018
RCMP received a report of a deer carcass on Highway 14. Members contacted the Department of Highways to remove the animal from the roadway.
Police received a complaint of criminal harassment but it was unfounded.
Members issued a 72-hour roadside suspension during a traffic stop.
There was a two-vehicle collision in Unity, Saskatchewan. There were no injuries. A charge of failing to yield the right of way was issued to one driver.
Members received a request to keep the peace while an individual retrieved property items from a residence.
The Unity RCMP were called to assist a parent calling to report their adult son was stuck in a ditch and was running out of gas and was at risk of freezing. The adult male did not want to call 9-1-1 so that members could locate him. Members spent several hours looking for the male before he was finally located, stuck in a rural area south and east of Landis, in the Kerrobert Detachment area. The male was transported for medical examination.
