UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for December 4 to 10, 2018

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the registered owner who agreed to have it moved.

Police received a false 911 call. This matter is still under investigation.

Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of an individual slashing the tires of a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of assault. Members transported the subject of complaint to North Battleford Detachment to remain in cells until sober.  The complainant declined to lay charges.

Members responded to a vehicle fire on Highway 21 south of Unity, Sask. Unity Fire Department extinguished the fire.  It was not suspicious in nature.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Unity Health Centre for assessment.

RCMP received a complaint of criminal harassment but it was unfounded.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of an employer.

A 38-year-old Unity male was charged with assault and overcoming resistance to the commission of an indictable offence after members received a complaint of assault.

There were also two traffic complaints, one noise complaint and one false alarm.
