RCMP Report for August 4 to 10

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for August 4 to 10, 2015

RCMP attended a single vehicle collision on Highway 374. No injuries. Vehicle was towed. Reported for insurance purposes.

Member assisted Calgary Police Services with a next-of-kin notification; however, the individual was no longer living in the Unity area.

Police received a report of an individual with access to a firearm that may be a safety issue.  Members removed the firearm from the possession of the subject of complaint.

There was a recreational vehicle fire on Highway 21 south of Unity, SK. No injuries.

RCMP received a report of a hit and run that caused damage to a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of uttering threats. It was investigated and determined to be unfounded.

Members received a report of an individual writing cheques from a bank account that is closed. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a report of damage at Holy Rosary Shrine near Reward, Saskatchewan, but it was unfounded.

Police received a report of a break and enter at a rural residence. This matter is still under investigation.

There was a complaint of uttering threats. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of sexual assault. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of a single vehicle collision with a deer near Denzil, Sask. No injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

An abandoned vehicle was towed from Highway 14 west of Unity.

Police received a complaint of an individual trespassing in a residence yard. This matter is still under investigation.

CN Police reported a malfunction with a railway crossing near Unity.

There were also three false alarms, one false 911 call and one traffic complaint.
