Friday’s paper

When the August 26th issue of the Unity Wilkie Press-Herald hits the mailboxes and stores Friday morning, you can expect 20 pages of interesting and useful information. Some highlights to watch for:

  • a thoughtful piece on the benefits of Unity being an active community and hosting events, large and small;
  • tips from the RCMP on how to deal with callers pretending to demand money on behalf of Canada Revenue Agency (CRA);
  • an article about a little known supportive program for women cancer patients; and
  • a refresher on some of the rules around fishing in Saskatchewan.

There is also the latest RCMP report, a wrap on the NSRBL season and an editorial piece on the Colten Boushie shooting at Biggar. Lots to read about in this week’s issue!

Below, Rhett Feser of the Unity Cardinals runs for first base after a hit in the provincial final against Wilkie Aug. 14. Feser led the Cardinals in batting this year, finishing fourth overall in the league. He was also the third best pitcher in the NSRBL.
