RCMP Report for June 21 to 27

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for June 21 to 27, 2016

RCMP received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.

Police received several reports of the Canada Revenue Agency scam. No personal information was given. Information was sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

During a traffic stop a 51-year-old male from the Unity area was charged with driving while prohibited.

There was a complaint of breach of peace. Members attended and transported an intoxicated individual to a residence to remain in the care of a family friend until sober.

RCMP received a complaint of false pretences. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of an individual lying on the service road in Unity, Saskatchewan. Members located the subject of complaint and transported him to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

There was a complaint of horses on the loose on Highway 14. Members located the owner of the animals who led them back to their enclosure.

RCMP received a report of a missing dog. The complainant called back later and informed the police that the dog had been located.

Police received a complaint of harassing communications. Reported for information purposes.

Members received a request to attend a medical emergency but did not attend as the individual recovered and did not require emergency services.

RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

There were also four traffic complaints, one noise complaint, one false 911 call and one false alarm.

RCMP Report for June 14 to 20

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for June 14 to 20, 2016

CN Police reported a broken railway crossing gate.

RCMP received a complaint of a male jumping in front of traffic. The individual was taken to Battlefords Hospital for assessment.

A 72-year-old male from Unity was charged with refusal to provide breath sample during a traffic stop.

A 26-year-old Unity male was charged with mischief and failing to comply with a probation order when officers located him lying on the highway. Members also transported him to Battleford Hospital for assessment.

Police received a complaint of a male swearing at another individual in a vehicle and kicking the vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Members are investigating graffiti spray painted on two businesses in Unity.

RCMP attended a house fire at a rural residence. It was later discovered to be a controlled burn. Police action not necessary.

Police received a complaint of theft at Suffern Lake, SK. This matter is still under investigation.

Members are investigating a report of drug trafficking.

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for June 7 to 13, 2016

RCMP received a complaint of break and enter into four trailers at Suffern Lake, SK. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a request to keep the peace during a tenant eviction.

A 26-year-old female from Denzil. Sask., was charged with driving While disqualified during a traffic stop.

Members acted as mediators in a dispute between a landlord and a tenant on several occasions during the week.

Police received a complaint of individuals breaking into the Unity Credit Union Aquatic Centre at night and using the facility. This matter is still under investigation.

There were two reports of harassing communications this week. Information was sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre in both incidents.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke with the subject of complaint.

Police received a complaint of a dog barking. Members spoke with the owner of the animal.

RCMP received a report of a missing person. The individual was later located at home.

Our Grade 12 students are in the midst of their final high school exams and then it will be time to truly celebrate! Yes, tomorrow’s edition of the Unity Wilkie Press-Herald is the annual grad feature. Be sure to get your copy and check out all the graduates in Unity, Wilkie and Luseland. If you have someone graduating, you may want to pick up an extra copy or two of the paper for grandparents, etc.

RCMP Report for May 24 to 30

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for May 24 to 30, 2016

RCMP executed an arrest warrant for Saskatoon Police Services.

Members completed a well-being check on an individual at the request of a family member.

There was a complaint of uttering threats that was reported for information purposes.

Police spoke with an individual regarding a Peace Bond.

RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of a single vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries.

There was a report of a knife located behind the Unity arena. Member attended and disposed of the knife.

A 35-year-old male from Cut Knife was charged with Impaired operation of motor vehicle during a traffic stop.

A 35-year-old male from Coleville was charged with obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest and a 32-year-old female from Coleville was charged with obstructing a peace officer when they confronted RCMP Members during an Impaired investigation, after repeatedly being requested to leave the area. The male was also issued two liquor tickets and the female was issued one liquor ticket.

CN police reported a male standing near the railway track while the train was passing through Unity. Members patrolled but could not locate the individual.

There was a report of a lost ring but the complainant called back the following day to say she had located it.

Members were called to a single vehicle collision with a power pole just south of Cut Knife. The driver sustained minor injuries. This matter is still under investigation.

There was also one traffic complaint and one false alarm.
