RCMP Report for December 4 to 10

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for December 4 to 10, 2018

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the registered owner who agreed to have it moved.

Police received a false 911 call. This matter is still under investigation.

Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of an individual slashing the tires of a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of assault. Members transported the subject of complaint to North Battleford Detachment to remain in cells until sober.  The complainant declined to lay charges.

Members responded to a vehicle fire on Highway 21 south of Unity, Sask. Unity Fire Department extinguished the fire.  It was not suspicious in nature.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Unity Health Centre for assessment.

RCMP received a complaint of criminal harassment but it was unfounded.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of an employer.

A 38-year-old Unity male was charged with assault and overcoming resistance to the commission of an indictable offence after members received a complaint of assault.

There were also two traffic complaints, one noise complaint and one false alarm.

RCMP Reports for November 27 to December 3

UNITY Sk RCMP REPORTS for November 27 to December 3, 2018

RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a break-and-enter into a rural farmhouse. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of a break-and-enter into a residence in Denzil, Saskatchewan, but it was unfounded.

RCMP attended the sudden death of a 72-year-old female in Unity, Sask. The death was not suspicious in nature.

Police received a complaint of fraud. Information sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. The subject of complaint was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

There was a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the registered owner who agreed to move the vehicle.

Members received a complaint of theft. There are no suspects at this time.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle. Members located the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning about parking in back alleys.

Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

RCMP charged a 61-year-old male from the Unity area with impaired operation of a motor Vehicle during a traffic stop. The vehicle driver was also issued three traffic tickets.

There were also three false 911 calls and two traffic complaints.

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for November 20 to 26, 2018

RCMP received a complaint of an intoxicated male walking on the street in Unity, Saskatchewan. Members patrolled but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival.

Police received a complaint of theft from a motor vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of a two vehicle collision near Unity. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a report of a missing person. Members located the individual.

Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries.

Members assisted Emergency Medical Services with a patient.

RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications but it was unfounded.

Members received a Mental Health Act complaint. The subject of complaint was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital by a family member for assessment.

Police received a complaint of a hit-and-run causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.

RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision. There were no injuries.

Members executed an arrest warrant for Warman RCMP Detachment and Saskatoon Police Services during a traffic stop.

Police received a report of a stolen truck. A 36-year-old male from Sherwood Park, Alberta. was charged with theft of truck, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, operation of motor vehicle while being pursued by police, dangerous operation of motor vehicle and two counts of mischief.  A 47-year-old male from Edmonton, AB was charged with theft of truck, possession of property obtained by crime, breaking and entering with intent, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and two counts of mischief.

There were also four traffic complaints and one false 911 call.

RCMP Reports for November 13 to 19

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for November 13 to 19, 2018

RCMP received several complaints of break-and-enters into a residence garages in Unity, Saskatchewan. Two vehicles were reported stolen and both have been since recovered. Matthew Ross Conaghan, age 33, from Lloydminster has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime.  Russell Reader, age 26, also from Lloydminster has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, drive while disqualified, and fail to comply with probation. Warrants have been issued for the arrest of both men. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Conaghan or Reader may contact Unity RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Members removed a deceased deer from Highway 14.

Police received a complaint of shoplifting from a local business. This matter is still under investigation.

Members obtained a statement for Saskatoon Police Services.

RCMP received a report of criminal harassment. This matter is still under investigation.

An individual turned in licence plates to RCMP. They had not been reported stolen. Member turned the licence plates in to SGI for destruction.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the complainant and subject of complaint.

Members attended a residence fire. The fire was extinguished by Unity Fire Department and was not suspicious in nature.
