UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for August 7 to 13, 2018

RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

Police are investigating several complaints of individuals knocking on residence doors or ringing residence doorbells and running away.

RCMP received a report of an abandoned trailer. The trailer had been moved before members arrived.

Members attended a vehicle fire near Highway 21 south of Unity. The fire was not suspicious in nature.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. The subject of complaint was taken back to his residence and left in the care of another individual.

RCMP received a complaint of a break-and-enter into a building in a rural area near Unity. This matter is still under investigation.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction at Unity. Reported for information purposes.

There were also five traffic complaints and two false 911 calls.

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for July 31 to August 6, 2018

RCMP received a report of a railway spike sticking out of a railway crossing. Members notified CN Rail.

Members attended a single vehicle rollover near Winter, Saskatchewan. There were no injuries and no charges were laid.

Police received a report of a cow on Highway 14 near Unity. Members attended but could not locate the animal.

Members spoke with an individual regarding a child welfare concern. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of fraud. Information sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Members delivered a next-of-kin notification at the request of another RCMP Detachment.

Police spoke to an individual regarding utilizing members in keeping the peace at a residence.

CN Rail notified RCMP of a train blocking a railway crossing near Senlac, Sask.

RCMP received a complaint of a stolen car. This matter is still under investigation.

Members attended the scene of a workplace injury near Senlac. The individual sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members located the subject of complaint and transported the individual to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle parked at a business. Members could not locate the registered owner so the vehicle was towed.

Members located a vehicle that had been stolen from Hepburn, Saskatchewan in Unity. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of several break-and-enters into residence garages in Unity. These matters are still under investigation.

Members assisted Emergency Medical Services with a patient.

There were also three traffic complaints, two false 911 calls and three false alarms.

RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious male near a business. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

Police received a report of damage to a door knob on a residence garage door. There are no suspects at this time.

Members are investigating a report of sexual assault.

RCMP conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

Police received a report of a hit-and-run causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.

There was a complaint of fraud. There are no suspects at this time.

RCMP received a complaint of theft from a shop. This matter is still under investigation.

Members attended the sudden death of a 61-year-old male from Unity. The death was not suspicious in nature.

RCMP received a report of a single motorcycle collision. The motorcycle driver sustained minor injuries.  No charges were laid.

There was also one traffic complaint, one false alarm and one false 911 call.

CN Police reported damage to a railway crossing arm in Unity. Reported for information purposes.

RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle. Members located the vehicle and issued a verbal warning.

Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two individuals.

Police received a complaint of assault but it was unfounded.

RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 21 north of Unity. Reported for insurance purposes.

Members received a complaint of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The complainant declined to lay charges.

Police are investigating a report of fraud.

Members assisted an individual by transporting her to another place to stay after a family disagreement.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

RCMP attended a two-vehicle collision in Unity. There were no injuries. A traffic ticket was issued to one of the vehicle drivers.

Police received a noise complaint. Members issued a verbal warning to the subjects of complaint.

There was a break-and-enter at a residence near Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received two complaints of break-and-enters into a residence garages in Unity. These matters are still under investigation.

Police received another complaint of a break-and-enter into a residence garage in Unity. A 1997 red Pontiac Grand Prix was reported stolen.

Members are investigating a report of theft from a motor vehicle.

RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members could not attend as they were dealing with a high priority call. There had been no other issues when Members followed up with the complainant.

Police received a complaint of a break-and-enter into the store at Suffern Lake, Sask. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a report of a helicopter crash into a field while spraying crops. The helicopter pilot received non-life threatening injuries and was air lifted to Saskatoon by STARS Air Ambulance for medical treatment.

Police received a complaint of harassing communications. This matter is still under investigation.

A 50-year-old female from Red Pheasant First Nation was charged with theft – shoplifting, failing to comply with condition of undertaking and failing to comply with a probation order after members received a complaint of theft from a local grocery store.

RCMP received a report of a hit-and-run causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.

Members acted as mediators in a family disagreement.

Police received a report of an individual using residence power without permission. Members warned the subject of complaint. Complainant declined to lay charges.

RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members attended but the disturbance had ended before police arrived.

Members spoke with an individual regarding the Stray Animals Act.

Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was towed as it was not registered.

There were also two false alarms and one false 911 call.

RCMP received a missing person report. Members patrolled. The subject of complaint returned to the residence.

Police attended a complaint of a dispute at a residence. Members charged a 20-year old male and a 30-year-old male, both from Brandon, Manitoba, with mischief for damage to the house incurred by the disagreement.

RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats but it was unfounded.

Members located a paddle board and a wakeboard in the ditch while patrolling.

Police are investigating a complaint of youth knocking on a residence door and running away.

RCMP received a complaint of sexual assault but it was unfounded.
