You don’t want to miss tomorrow’s Unity Wilkie Press-Herald – it has far too many pictures of cute babies in it! Yes, the February 8th issue is the annual baby issue. In the paper, you will also find:
- exciting news about Unity being the Canadian pilot project site for an Australian-invented water treatment system;
- just in time for Valentine’s Day, financial planning tips for new couples (and Found Treasures in Unity is advertising 30% off engagement rings!);
- lots of career opportunity ads; and
- a cancer diary update from Helena.
And yes, hockey reports, a story on Unity dancers and information about a COP (Citizens on Parol) program starting in Unity too.
On the hockey side, the Miners played their last game of the season Friday night, losing to the Biggar Nationals and putting the Unity SK team out of the SWHL playoffs. Congratulations to the team of local “boys” on a good season and we look forward to next year! Below Miners goalie Stephen Wolf, before his jersey number changed to 70, smothers the puck in an early season game.
