A small-town spa with treatments and services comparable to what’s available in the big city -that’s why Sunrise Wellness Spa in Unity, Saskatchewan draws clients from a 100-mile radius.
Owner Geraldine Barrett had a vision. As a registered massage therapist who found relief from her own health issues through massage therapy, she has offered clients massage treatments since 1980.
Many of these techniques, such as sport massage, cranial sacral therapy and manual lymphatic drainage prompt your body to continue the healing process naturally.
Further health issues sent Geraldine searching for help from psoriasis. Moor Mud and Dead Sea salt were her answer. She pursued spa training, going to California and New Mexico and continues learning today. Geraldine wanted to offer her own clients additional products and services to reduce the effects of stress on body, mind and heart.
Sunrise Wellness Spa has evolved from the original focus on massage treatment to offering a full range of state-of-the-art spa services including customized facials with Eminence organic skin care and various body treatments.
In 2000, Geraldine bought the old police barracks at 120 -2nd St. East in Unity and renovated it into today’s unique day spa that showcases an exclusive boutique. There is space to sit quietly and unwind, space for heart-to-heart sharing, space for massages, manicures, facials and full body treatments.
With winter here, warm and relaxing jade stone massages are a treat to receive.
Working with Geraldine are loyal employees who help keep the vision of the spa alive. STaff enjoy being part of Sunrise Wellness Spa. They believe in alternate medicine and enjoy the peace and serenity at the spa and love to see clients feeling rejuvenated. Below, Katie shows off the amazing organic skin care Eminence line.
