RCMP Report for April 12 to 18

UNITY SK RCMP REPORTS for April 12 to 18, 2016

RCMP received a report of a front end loader hitting a power line causing it to fall to the ground. There were no injuries and no charges were laid.

Police received a report of a shed fire north of Salvador, SK. No police action necessary.

A 26-year-old Unity male and a 27-year-old Unity female were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine when police located the drug in their residence while executing a search warrant.

Members served a mutual restraining order at the request of Queen’s Bench of Alberta to an individual in the detachment area.

RCMP received a complaint of the theft of fuel from a gas station. The driver returned to pay for the fuel. No charges were laid.

Police seized a small amount of cannabis marihuana in a vehicle during a traffic stop. The amount of the drug located was too minuscule for charges to be laid.

Members executed warrants for a male at the request of Smokey Lake Detachment. The individual was placed on a six-day remand for court in Alberta.

Several tools were stolen from an outbuilding in Denzil, Saskatchewan. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of an individual shooting birds from a vehicle in Unity. Members located the subject of complaint and discovered he was hired as pest/crow control for the Town of Unity. No charges were laid.

CN Police reported an individual walking on the train tracks in Unity. Members located the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning to stay off the tracks.
